A land inhabited by deposited creatures who can't recall where it was they came from. Isis is a refuge for those Earth will not take. It was formed ages ago when the first mythical beasts were threatened by the human race. Unicorns hunted for their horns, griffins captured for mounts, gargoyles for decorations, dragons for their hide, elves for slaves, shape shifters for entertainment, leprechauns for luck, pixies for their magic, brownies for aid, werewolves for pelts or just plain hunted as a danger, vampires slain just because the world needed something to hate.
Eventually the Gods & Guardians intervened and made a new world with a place for each creature, leaving several entrances on Earth that are tirelessly guarded and only visible to those creatures that need an escape. Not all wanted to flee, some having found love or a place amongst the human race; and those were the mistakes. They mixed their mystic natures in with the humans, allowing them to see the portals that were not meant for them. Luckily ages passed with no incident, only twisted stories were told of the horrible mythic creatures slain by brave heroes of old.
As time continued passing by the portal's guard began slacking. And so humans began slipping into the Second World. Suddenly hunters were in the world of Isis killing and nabbing inhabitants of the mystic world for slaves. An evil presence began spreading through paradise and horrible legacies rose up, such as The Rare Hunters, Trios of corrupt brothers. The Gods once again reached out but this time they only provided great warriors and guardians to protect their beloved creations.
